ABC To Viewers: 'Stay Home'

ABC wants viewers to stay home and watch its fall TV premiere week. To encourage them, the net is launching a new promotion: National Stay at Home Week. The spots and Web site pitch watching TV as an eco-exercise: Save gas by watching TV in the comfort of your own home. "It's a fun way to package and present our premiere week and make it uniquely ABC as well," ABC marketing executive vice president Mike Benson told Variety.
