AOL Debuts Truveo Mobile Site, AIM For BlackBerry

  • September 11, 2008
AOL has launched a beta version of its Truveo video search site for the mobile phone.

The new mobile site follows the release of a Truveo application for the iPhone in July. The latest Truveo mobile offering allows users to browse millions of videos on more than 300 sites whose content has been optimized for cell phones.

Separately, AOL and Research In Motion Wednesday announced the launch of AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and ICQ instant messaging, as well as AOL Mail, on BlackBerry smartphones. The deal will let BlackBerry users send pictures via AIM or ICQ, see messages in their regular inbox, and add IM contacts to their device address books, among other capabilities.--Mark Walsh
