RICHARD N. KAPLAN, President of CNN's United States newsgathering operation since 1997, has left the network. Kaplan, winner of 34 Emmys, served as producer for ABC News and President of CNN's USA operations. "I believe it best that I now move on," said Kaplan. "I thank the fine group of journalists that I have been privileged to work with. I believe that we have enhanced the quality of news coverage and improved the depth of reporting."

PHILIP KENT, former President of Turner Broadcasting System International will replace Kaplan and has been appointed to the new position of President and COO. EASON JORDAN, the President of CNN's international operations has been named President of Newsgathering and Chief News Executive of CNN News Group. JIM WALTON, the President of the Sports Division, will head the network group for the United States. CHRIS CRAMER, a former BBC news executive, will take over the international group.

STEVE DUNKLEY has been named Executive Creative Director at Trone Advertising. He had been VP and Creative Director at FCB Worldwide.

NANCY RUETH has been named President at Presence Euro RSCG. Rueth had been Managing Director at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, New York.

LAURA SCHOEN is the new President at the Global Health Care Practice of BSMG Worldwide.

R. BRUCE BRADLEY and DENNIS J. FITZIMONS have been appointed as members of the board of the Newspaper Association of America. Bradley is current President of Landmark Communications. Fitzimons serves as Executive VP, Media Operations at Tribune Co.

JOHN BORDELEAU and ERIC BERSHON have new positions at AdOutlet. Bordeleau has been named Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to joining AdOutlet, Bordeleau was the Founder and President of The Bordeleau Group, a strategic management consulting company. Bershon has been named Sr. VP of Sales and Business Development. Most recently, he served as the Sr. VP of sales for VDI Multimedia.
