Bloomberg continues to bring in executives from the outside to help raise the profile of its eponymous TV network. Former Fox News Channel vice president of news, David Rhodes, joins as head of operations in the Americas.

Rhodes had been at the News Corp. channel since its 1996 launch and was responsible for day-to-day news coverage.

In October, former NBC News head Andy Lack came to Bloomberg to oversee the TV, interactive and radio group. That followed ex-Time Inc. editor in chief Norman Pearlstine joining as chief content officer.

Lack said Rhodes' "news judgment, his strength as a creator and organizer and his ability to energize a television news operation will be strong assets ... as we build on the unique global infrastructure that Bloomberg has created."

Bloomberg said Rhodes' hiring completes a reorganization that Lack launched for the TV network, where three regional managers report to him. In addition to Rhodes, the other two are: Michael Clancy in Asia and Brian Martinez, in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
