AdOn Unit Puts Focus On Mobile

AdOn Network has launched several new ad units to support a suite of mobile advertising formats such as text messaging, multimedia messaging, banner ads, video and downloadable applications.

Technology advancements are attracting more consumers to mobile Web platforms. Steve Armstrong, CEO of AdOn Network, said the interest in mobile ads has grown steadily in recent years, and it has become evident that it will become a viable marketing and advertising platform.

Augmenting the mobile service, AdOn also introduced background ads. The service places large-format ads in the unused spaces that surround the content of a Web site to create an integrated presence on a publisher's site. Background ads include scalable distribution, dynamic resolution detection, a sync engine, background ad tag, ad rotation that allows multiple campaigns to be displayed in a refreshable rotation across an entire network of sites, and an API that integrates into clients' proprietary ad managers.--Laurie Sullivan
