I love mobile nerdery. I do. Of all emerging (yes, it's still emerging) channels of consumer engagement, this one is occupied by some of the best nerds out there. And they embrace it. But although they're "beyond zealotry," the industry is still one of "almost there" with metrics and "almost there" with regard to synchronized clapping.

As a tourist or out-of-towner, what do you think of when someone says NYC? Probably hotdogs, Broadway, the Naked Cowboy, Donald Trump, crowds, bright lights, dirt, commerce, and delicious, overpriced foods. As an NYCer... what do you think of? After last night's book party for Chris Anderson's book "Free," I settled down in front of the TV, which coincidentally is a Samsung, pulled the boy's laptop close to me and refreshed myself on what route to The Samsung Experience in the Time Warner Center I'd be taking (thank you hopstop). I'm back! I feel like it's been forever since we've gotten together. Over a week is definitely close to forever in online media years, so let's get to it.
