Adidas Sues Payless Over Stripes

  • April 3, 2009
Adidas is suing Payless ShoeSource over trademark infringement, according to the Associated Press, alleging that Payless is selling shoes that infringe on its famous three-stripe logo.

It is similar to a U.S. suit the German-based company litigated for seven years, which resulted in $304 million award to Adidas last May. (That award was later cut to $65.3 million and the case is under appeal, AP says.)
