Lenovo To Launch Global Push, Selects Saatchi

Consumer electronics company Lenovo will launch a new campaign this year and has tapped Saatchi & Saatchi to handle it. The Publicis shop beat out Crispin Porter & Bogusky and Ogilvy & Mather for the task. The latter has done Lenovo's line of "Think"-branded products since the computer maker purchased IBM's PC division in 2005.

Among products the company will launch this year are "Le Pad," which will be priced at $520, and will initially go on sale in China. The company will also launch slimmer versions of the ThinkPad laptops and IdeaPad series of netbooks.

Saatchi's New York office will handle the global campaign. Lenovo spent about $30 million on domestic measured media last year.
