An item ("Canoe's Lins Paddles To Clear Channel, Named CMO") in the Oct. 19 edition of MediaDailyNews inadvertently referred to cable industry initiative Canoe Ventures as "defunct." While Canoe ramped down some of its ambitious operations for developing interactive TV and addressable TV advertising applications, it continues to represent and manage a sizeable video-on-demand advertising platform of about 23 million households.
