Wunderman Taps Jamie Gutfreund For Global CMO Post

Jamie Gutfreund has been appointed Global CMO at WPP’s Wunderman. Reporting to agency CEO Mark Read, she will work with Wunderman’s 175 offices around the world to build marketing strategies that leverage the CRM specialist’s data and creative capabilities.

Gutfreund is the taking the CMO reins from Julie Rezek, president of Wunderman’s Seattle office, who has just been named Microsoft Global Client Lead at the agency.

Based in New York, Gutfreund joins Wunderman from Engine Group’s Deep Focus, where she served as chief marketing officer. While at Deep Focus, Gutfreund is credited with leading efforts to launch new offices in Los Angeles and London.

Prior to Deep Focus, she served as Chief Strategy Officer at The Intelligence Group a youth-focused strategic consulting firm, acquired by Engine Group in 2014. Earlier she held posts at Noise, Expedia and Microsoft.

“Jamie has a proven track record as an outstanding storyteller who is insights-driven,” said Read. “The combination of these skills and her willingness to take smart, creative risks makes her an ideal addition to the team.”
