'Women's Health,' Bespoke Post Team For Holiday Subscription Box

Women’s Health partnered with men’s start-up subscription box service Bespoke Post on a limited-edition holiday box for women.

The box's theme is “Unplug” and contains products selected by the Women’s Health team. The box contains a note that asks the receiver to subscribe to Women’s Health, with a discount code. Women’s Health readers get a 10% discount on the box.

The items promote self-care and encourage a relaxing night in, including a Serene House essential oil diffuser and peppermint essential oil, Etiquette cashmere merino socks, Live 24K Golden Fuel turmeric-collagen blend “golden mylk” beverage and a Latika Soap lavender fizzy bath bomb.

“One of our goals at Women’s Health is to elevate your everyday routine with little moments that nourish your body and soul,” stated Women’s Health editor-in-chief, Liz Plosser. “We believe that when you take time to feel good on the inside, you absolutely glow on the outside, too. This box gives women the tools to enjoy some much-needed time to themselves and escape the craze of the holiday season.”

Women’s Health executive editor Abby Cuffey told Publishers Daily the box is all about “JOMO,” or the “joy of missing out,” a new millennial-coined term that is the flip side of the popular “FOMO” phrase or the “fear of missing out.”

Bespoke Post first launched women’s-focused boxes for last year’s holiday season.

“While the majority of our customers are men, we always see an uptick in traffic from women looking for gifts during the holidays. We realized this could be a great opportunity to offer curated boxes for those shoppers as well,” stated Bespoke Post cofounder Rishi Prabhu.

This is the first time Bespoke Post, which launched in 2011, has partnered with a women’s media brand. The New York City-based company curates goods, particularly from boutique, smaller brands, for a monthly subscription service and ecommerce shop for men.

Cuffey said partnering with a men’s-focused brand expands Women’s Health to new audiences.

“We are definitely open to and looking for opportunities to reach new audiences as long as there’s an organic fit. With Bespoke Post, it made so much sense," she said.

This year’s holiday box for women is featured in the December 2018 issue of Women’s Health, on newsstands November 20.

The Unplug box contains products valued at over $105, available for purchase for $45, or $55 for nonmembers.
