Dentsu Inc. is folding its flagship creative agency Dentsu (offices outside Japan only) with creative powerhouse mcgarrybowen. The combined entity will be renamed Dentsumcgarrybowen.
The new agency will have 3,000 employees across 24 markets with clients including American Express and Toyota.
Merlee Jayme head of a Dentsu agency in the Phillippines and Jon Dupuis, global president at Mcgarrybowen, will serve as co-presidents of the new operation. They’ll report to Jean Lin, global chief executive of creative at DAN.
Gordon Bowen, co-founder of Mcgarrybowen and chief creative officer at DAN, will serve as global chairman of Dentsumcgarrybowen.
