Omnicom agency OMD retained its position as the largest U.S. media agency by billings in 2019 according to a final tally by agency tracker COMvergence. The totals include for the first time non-measured digital media spend estimates.
The report puts OMD’s total billings for the period at $10.9 billion, up almost 6% from the previous year. Dentsu’s Carat placed second with $9.7 billion, up more than 18% and Publicis Groupe’s Spark Foundry ranks third with $9.4 billion, down 3.5%. Horizon Media, the largest US independent agency, ranks fourth overall with $8.7 billion, up 10,1%.
At the Group level, Publicis Media remains the leader with $21.3 billion, followed by Omnicom Media OMG, $17.1 billion, and GroupM $16.8 billion.
