Stitcher Media remains
the podcast king, pulling 59.8 million average weekly downloads and 15.5 million weekly users, according to Triton Digital’s Top Sales Networks Report for October.
NPR was second, with 35.3 million average downloads and 6.5 million average weekly users.
Audacy Podcast Network was third, with 33 million average
weekly downloads and 8.6 million weekly users.
The top 20 publishers scored a total of 241.5 million average weekly downloads during the month. It would be
difficult for a podcast producer that is not a top media brand to break into that ranking.
Based on downloads, the top three podcasts were "NPR News Now" (NPR), "Crime
Junkie" (audiochunk) and "Dateline NBC" (NBC Universal News Group).

Among listeners, the most popular three podcasts were "Crime Junkie" (audiochuck), "Dateline
NBC" (NBC Universal News Group) and "Up First" (NPR).
New shows debuting during this period included "Rachel Maddow Presents:
Ultra" (NBCUniversal News Group) and "All There Is with Anderson Cooper"(WarnerMedia).
And listeners were offered such new items as "Buried Bones"(Wondery), "Normal Gossip"(Audioboom), "The TryPod" (Audacy Podcast Network) and "The
Mel Robbins Podcast"(Stitcher Media).
Triton Digital says that this report is based on average weekly downloads and average
weekly users, in accordance with v2.1 of the IAB Podcast Technical Measurement Guidelines.
