LiveOne Launches FAST For Podcast Content

Podcasts are among the latest formats to enter the ever-expanding world of free, ad-supported streaming services (FAST).

Streaming audio company LiveOne has launched a FAST channel for its PodcastOne platform, which it acquired in 2020, and associated shows.

PodcastOne TV will feature video content from on-demand PodcastOne shows including “The Adam Carolla Podcast,” Nappy Boy Radio with T-Pain,” “Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe” and “LiveZone News,” with other programs slated to launch in the future.

PodcastOne TV is produced in partnership with MuxIP, which provides video solutions for FAST and advertising-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) content producers and distributors.

Using MuxIP’s FASTHub for OTT platform will allow PodcastOne TV to extend its reach to Paramount’s Pluto TV, the Roku channel, Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels and Fox’s Tubi.

PodcastOne’s range of content and audiences “are ideally suited for FAST,” noted Tom Link, founder and CEO of MuxIP.

LiveOne is expected to spin off PodcastOne into a separate company by the end of 2023.
