American Honda’s luxury brand Acura is partnering with premium audio brand Bang & Olufsen for all future models.
The deal with the Danish luxury audio brand aims to bring an elevated in-vehicle audio experience to the entire Acura lineup beginning with the 2024 Acura ZDX electric vehicle and the ZDX Type S.
"As we take the Acura brand and our products to the next level, we want to make sure the audio experience also delivers on our concept of being a 'destination brand'," said Emile Korkor, assistant vice president, Acura National Sales, in a release. "This new collaboration with Bang & Olufsen will achieve exactly that."
The Bang & Olufsen premium audio system in the new Acura ZDX is engineered expressly for Acura.
The collaboration will set a new precedent for in-vehicle audio and technology, says Tom Rivers, vice president, global marketing at Harman International, the parent company of Bang & Olufsen.
More than 50 million automobiles on the road today are equipped with Harman audio and connected car systems.
