Gmail Debuts Calendar And Event Tool: Report

Gmail is offering a new Calendar tool that allows users to more easily schedule meetings. 

According to 9to5 Google, the toolbar will feature a new Calendar icon at the right with these two options: 

  • Create an event—Event title and recipients will be pre-filled from the email. In addition, Gmail will automatically insert an event summary into the email body for easy sharing, 9to5 Google writes. 
  • Offer times you’re free—Recipients can select one of the proposed times via an interactive email reply, and this will automatically generate a Calendar invite.

The tool could prove to be particularly effective for B2B sales teams.
