Baileys Taps Waddingham To Conduct Seasonal Spot

Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur, a blend of aged Irish whiskey, Irish dairy cream and chocolate and vanilla flavors, considers itself a holiday must in the U.K.

But given its popularity as one of the top spirits brands in the world, its current holiday spot is running in the U.S. as well as the U.K., across social, digital and TV.

The Swedish agency Forsman & Bodenfors created the new ad.

This year,the liqueur is partnering with British actressHannah Waddingham, an Emmy winner for “Ted Lasso.” Waddingham joins U.K. singing group, the Global Vocal Collective, in a festive holiday celebration.

The spot is set in a market with Waddingham doubling as conductor for the acapella group. The work culminates with Baileys, positioned as a sumptuous cocktail of the season.

Author and drinks inventor David Gluckman created Baileys in 1973.

In September, Baileys debuted a new addition: Baileys Chocolate Liqueur, a combination of Baileys Original Irish Cream and real Belgian chocolate. Forsman & Bodenfors also created a spot to promote the new offering in partnership with chef Amaury Guichon.

Baileys is manufactured by Diageo, and reported volume sales of 8.8 million 9-liter cases worldwide in 2022.
