Leah Kamon will lead the latter as SVP. Jeff Haley, president/CEO of the RAB, will oversee the business unit.
In her new position, Kamon, who reports to Haley, will establish a cohesive marketing and communications effort across all of RAB's departments and divisions. She will be heavily involved with the Radio 2020 initiative, a collaborative undertaking from the RAB, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), and the HD Radio Alliance.
Kamon joins the RAB from Time Warner, where she directed internal communications and was a founding member of the Time Warner Global Marketing Group.
As part of this restructuring, Mary Bennett, EVP/national marketing, is leaving the RAB to pursue other interests. A member of RAB for 12 years, Bennett was instrumental in the development of the Radio Ad Lab and numerous industry projects.
