Marchex Moves Platform Into Mobile

Local search ad company Marchex has broadened its ad platform, allowing brands to reach into mobile phones.

Through its business profile pages, the service adds smartphones and other mobile devices to click- and call-based local lead support for national and local ads, paid and organic search results, directories, and Web sites.

Marchex's business profile pages provide advertisers with data to measure marketing results and return-on-investment (ROI), including click-throughs and calls. The company offers its business profile pages through Marchex Connect, a local advertising platform that generates business leads through online and offline marketing campaigns.

Marchex Connect is available on a direct basis to national advertisers and on a private-label platform to small- to-medium-sized advertisers.--Laurie Sullivan
