NBC's "The Voice,"the powerful singing reality show, notched a key viewer gain on Tuesday versus a week ago -- but virtually all other network programs witnessed declines.

"The Voice" got to a Nielsen 4.5 rating/14 share against 18-49 viewers -- this versus a 4.1/12 the week before. NBC then ran back to old episodes of its first-year sitcom "The New Normal," earning a 1.7/5 and a 1.4/4 at an 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., respectively. The first episode matched the "Go On" numbers of a week before, and the second episode was up 8% from the 1.3/4 of a week before.

While NBC's 10 p.m. "Smash" stayed about the same -- a still lowly 0.9/2 versus a 1.0/3 -- the network ended the night ahead of all broadcasters with a 2.3/7 average among 18-49 viewers. It was also tops among 18-34 viewers at a 1.8/6.

Second-best for the night was ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" at 9 p.m., garnering a 2.3/6 versus a 2.4/6 the week before.

The third-best show for the night, Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" at 8 p.m. ran against "The Voice" -- getting to a 2.0/6, the same results as the previous week.

CBS was in reruns with both its "NCIS" shows from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. But it ran an original "Golden Boy" at 10 p.m., seeing a 1.3/4 versus a 1.4/4 a week ago.

ABC was second to NBC on the night among those key 18-49 viewers with a 1.7/5. Fox and Univision were tied, each with a 1.6/5; CBS earned a 1.4/4; and CW took a 0.2/1.
