Celebrity Twitter Company Raises GBP4.7m

Starcount, the company aiming to do for celebrities on social media what its chief executive’s previous company did for Tesco’s Clubcard, has raised £4.7m of growth capital. Chief executive Edwina Dunn revealed at The Telegraph's Festival of Business conference. “We’ve just closed a round of financing with private UK investors to raise $7.5m (£4.7m)” she said. “Now we feel huge relief and can get on with running the business.” She said she and her husband have put an undisclosed amount of their own money into Starcount.
