Denise Wong has been appointed president of Burbank, CA-based marketing agency Midnight Oil. She effectively replaces Tom Still, Midnight’s former CEO who left the firm last September.
Previously Wong, a Toronto native, was president at George P. Johnson, part of Project Worldwide.
Earlier the 20-plus year agency veteran served at McCann, Grey, Ogilvy and DDB.
“Denise’s visionary leadership style and ability to create, motivate, and deploy cohesive and talented teams will further evolve Midnight Oil’s innovative offering,” stated John Hans, CEO of parent company Imagine, which acquired the agency in 2016. Imagine creates printed marketing materials and other visuals for retailers, restaurants, CPG producers and other clients.
Midnight Oil has a staff of more than 250 and counts among its clients Disney, Netflix, Sony Pictures Television, Microsoft, Warner Bros., Activision, EA, and Universal Pictures.
