BBC-Funded Local Paper Reporters Make A Difference

A year on from their introduction, Press Gazette is reviewing the impact of local news reporters who are funded by the BBC but work for regional titles. So far 144 have been recruited, and the site suggests more may be added after the Cairncross Review drew attention to the need for local papers to be kept going to protect local democracy.
