Data Platform Lytics Integrates New Security And Privacy Tools Into Google Cloud

As part of a push to comply with new consumer privacy regulations and laws being introduced worldwide, customer data platform (CDP) Lytics Tuesday announced new security and privacy tools build in Google Cloud.

“In the past 24 months, we have rearchitected our platform, introducing new products, to help clients take advantage of our technology across multiple cloud data warehouse,” said Jascha Kaykas-Wolff, President, Lytics.

The integrations give enterprise companies multiple ways to adopt the Lytics CDP. It unifies customer data and addresses data privacy requirements under regulations like Europe's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Available features from Lytics range from data pipeline and profile management, to audience exploration, creation, and activation -- all deployed in a customer’s Google Cloud environment.

One of the new features launching today, "Private Instance," offers a managed service of Lytics' platform to increase the flexibility of the server’s location, including Canada or Singapore.

Another, "Private Cloud," gives users control of budgeting, resource allocation, and permissions, along with deeper access to hosting and performance-related metrics.

Six-months ago the company launched "Cloud Connect," which enable businesses to reach into a cloud data warehouse, utilizing Sequel, and not move the data, but add the information into a profile.

The  Private Instance and Private Cloud tools were built inside Google Cloud, but Kaykas-Wolff said the company is contemplating offering the services with other cloud providers.

He said the features will become more important for industries like finance and healthcare that are highly regulated and recognize the crucial nature of first-party data.
