Pinterest CMO Andrea Mallard Joins Board At Creator Monetization Platform Kajabi

On Tuesday, Andréa Mallard -- the chief marketing and communications officer at Pinterest -- announced she is joining the board at Kajabi, a platform that helps creators develop sustainable online businesses through marketing digital products.

Mallard, who was named Ad Age’s 2021 Marketer of the Year, is a mainstay in the advertising industry.

Mallard was the CMO of Athleta, a women's apparel brand, and Omada Health, a digital health pioneer. At Pinterest, Mallard currently oversees brand, external communications, performance, experiential, content, insights, and product marketing globally.

In addition, she is a published author and frequent TEDx speaker, presenting talks on brand strategy, entrepreneurialism, product innovation and design thinking.

Mallard wrote in a recent statement that she believes Kajabi to be one of the best-kept secrets in the new creator economy.

The average Kajabi creator, the company claims, earns $40,000 per year -- with one in three full-time creators making over six figures.

Founded in 2010, Kajabi is valued at over $2 billion and says its base of 60,000 creators make more than double the earnings compared to creators on alternative platforms like Patreon.

Mallard says she will bring her expertise in marketing, brand development, product positioning and communications to help Kajabi influence the future of the creator economy by turning creators into entrepreneurs.

Mallard will join fellow Kajabi board members including Scott Wagner, the former CEO of GoDaddy, and Kenny Rueter, the co-founder of Kajabi and executive chair of the board.
