Andrea Gellert Joins Meta As VP, Global Business And Product Marketing

Meta –– formerly Facebook –– has hired Andrea Gellert as its new vice president of global business and product marketing, effectively filling the role of Michelle Klein, who left the company in March.

Gellert has spent much of her career focused on growing businesses on digital platforms.

As the previous chief marketing officer (CMO) at Clover, a point of sale and business management platform for small and mid-sized businesses, Gellert was responsible for brand and social, product marketing, direct channel growth, lifecycle marketing and general marketing operations.

Prior to Clover, Gellert served as the head of marketing and creative at multiple companies and spent over 15 years at American Express, where she became the vice president of merchant services and of customer experience and retention.

“Andrea is a proven marketer, and we’re thrilled to have her join Meta as Vice President, Global Business & Product Marketing,” said Alex Schultz, CMO and VP of Analytics at Meta.

Schultz believes that Gellert’s data-driven experience bridges the gap between traditional and product marketing strategies, which he hopes will help support the businesses using the Meta platform through the company’s budding work with AI, Reels and business messaging.
