Serviceplan Wins Global Marketing Account For Lufthansa

German airline Lufthansa has selected Serviceplan, House of Communication Munich, as the creative agency that will be responsible for the worldwide marketing communication of the Lufthansa brand, the agency announced today.

Lufthansa has worked with Accenture Song for the last dozen years. That shop is credited with creating campaigns such as “Nonstop You,” and “Say Yes To The World.”

The switch, which follows a formal review, officially takes effect in January.

"The Serviceplan team proved in the pitch that they understood the Lufthansa brand, the design possibilities and our needs,” stated Michelle Mynhardt, head of marketing communication, Lufthansa. “I am convinced that we have found the right partner for the creative design of Lufthansa's marketing future."

Serviceplan, based in Munich, is a major independent European agency group with ambitious expansion plans for the U.S.

In June the group created Serviceplan Americas following its acquisition three years ago of a 30% stake in creative agency Pereira O’Dell . Leaders from that agency are managing Serviceplan’s Americas operation.

The company’s media operation, Mediaplus is also expanding this side of the Atlantic. It formed a North America division two years ago. Clients here include De’Longhi, Siemens, Hardcrafted LLC, Zeiss and others.
