The talk/interview program started on radio three years ago. Dentsu media clients sponsor the program and the agency says the effort has brought $14 million worth of investment into Black-owned media to date.

Kroger has been a major sponsor of the radio program and will invest in the TV version of the show as well.

The More Than That with Gia Peppers concept was created in response to the inequities in the advertising and media supply chain with the aim of increasing investment in Black-owned media and diverse content.

TV series guests include Angel Gregorio, CEO, Owner of BLK + Forth and The Spice Suite; Devi Brown, CEO, Owner of Devi Brown Well-being; Jamila Norman, Owner, Patchwork City Farms; Amaris Jones, Chef + Owner, Chick'N Jones; and more.

Washington DC-based Peppers is known for her appearances on NBC’s Today Show, as well as for hosting VH1’s Black Girl Beauty and BET’s Black Coffee. A decade ago she did a stint on the account side at ad agency Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners.
