Iris Selects Woodward As Managing Director To Strengthen Participation Agency Credo

Global creative network Iris appointed Rupert Woodward managing director, data driven and performance, a new role. He will focus on both U.K. and U.S. offices.

He reports to Claire Humphris, CEO, Iris London, and Simon Spyer, CEO, Data Driven Futures, Iris.

Woodward's hire is part of Iris' strategy to create a new agency model, The Participation Agency, to capitalize on owned and earned media to enhance brand growth.

Previously, Woodward spent five years at Jellyfish as vice president, client management, leading client hubs across various European countries, Sweden and Israel. Brands he oversaw included Louis Vuitton, Vodaphone and John Lewis & Partners.

Prior to Jellyfish, he worked at the iProspect and Greenlight agencies.

In his new role, Woodward will bring together its CRM, performance marketing, customer experience, data science and martech capabilities for clients such as Beiersdorf, Samsung, Estee Lauder and Halfords.

This year, Iris expanded its team in three areas: social, creator and influencer; data and performance; and healthcare.

Humphris said the agency loved Woodward's “passion for innovation within data and performance, and the smart way he thinks about the best possible solutions for clients.”

Iris was recently appointed by McCoy’s, owned by KP Snacks, as its brand strategy partner following a competitive pitch. The agency will create a new brand proposition and communications platform.

Iris has 14 offices worldwide.
