Cadbury Supports Grenfell Athletic FC

Cadbury FC, the candy brand's partnership with 14 U.K. soccer clubs, has a new content push to support Grenfell Athletic FC. The campaign was developed in partnership with creative agency elvis, global marketing agency MKTG Sports + Entertainment and Grenfell Athletic FC’s creative agency, Brothers & Sisters.

The creative work runs out across Cadbury and Grenfell Athletic FC's social channels.

The Club Together initiative launched in 2020, uniting its soccer club partnerships to support local communities in their time of need. Grenfell Athletic FC was formed in the wake of the Grenfell Towers fire, a high-rise blaze in 2017 that killed 72 people and injured 70 others.

Earlier this year, Cadbury kicked off the new phase of its Club Together program to create a common ground for Grenfell Athletic FC — a pitch to house Grenfell’s Men’s and Women’s teams, where the wider community could come together. The club is both a soccer team and a safe place to give players the mental-health guidance needed to turn their lives around.

The spot represents Cadbury FC’s seven-year plan to level the playing field for grassroots clubs across the UK. In 2024, the brand will be working with Grenfell Athletic FC as its partner ambassador to find other grassroots clubs in need of support.

"This work really highlights how important Grenfell Athletic FC is to the community, and clearly shows how Cadbury FC is more than just a sponsor – it’s a partner,” says Neale Horrigan, executive creative director, elvis.

The elvis agency's roster includes Cadbury, ODEON, Dobbies, Walkers and Oreo.
