• Facebook Live Lets You Peer Into Homes Around The World
    The social network first started rolling out its live video-streaming feature globally in February. Since then, the company has made a number of significant changes to its apps to make the feature more prominent. Now Facebook has gone a step further and added a "Live Video" tab in the left-hand bar on the desktop version of its site.

    In a poll of 1,000 UK people with an interest in the tournament, marketing tech firm RadiumOne found that six of the top ten most associated brands were not sponsors.   • Android Pay Launches In The UK
    Google is launching Android Pay, its tap-and-go contactless payment service, in the UK. Nearly 60% of the country's smartphone users own an Android handset. Devices running Android 4.4 or higher and fitted with an NFC chip will be able to use the service. The firm said it had chosen the UK to offer mobile payments because of British familiarity with contactless payments.
  • Will EU State Aid Rules Leave Homes Without Superfast Broadband?
    Hundreds of thousands of homes in towns and cities are at risk of being left in the Internet slow lane because of EU state aid rules. Ministers are hoping to have rolled out superfast Internet at speeds of 24Megabits per second to 95% of the UK by the end of next year. However, this will still leave 5% of the UK - around one million properties - without access to these superfast speeds.
