• Tottenham Goes Global Through NFL Deal
    Football club Tottenham Hotspur will position its new multi-purpose stadium as a "sports destination" in its bid to go from "challenger" brand to serious global player. Set to open in August 2018, the GBP750m stadium boasts the UK's only sliding grass pitch with a permanent American Football field built beneath, on which the club will stage two games a year as part of its 10-year NFL partnership.

    Google has awarded GBP50,000 (GBP41,000) of seed capital each to three British groups in a bid to rid the Internet of fake news. The groups -- Factmata, The Ferret and Full Fact -- are currently looking to design widgets that will find claims online and determine whether or not they are true.

    Averaged across the whole of 2016, Tesco's buzz score was up 12.2 from -12.0 to 0.2, just taking it into positive territory. This was easily the biggest increase of any brand in the ranking. Morrisons' increase of 5.7, taking its score to 6.4, was the fourth-highest after HSBC (up 7.8) and Eurotunnel (up 6.1).
