CBS Interactive Expands App for Android, Windows 8

CBS Interactive said its CBS App, available on iOS systems since March, is now available for Android and Windows 8 users, and will be coming to BlackBerry 10 systems by the end of the year. The CBS App now offers every episode of new and returning CBS series eight days after the the first airing, and episodes of classic shows, including "Star Trek."
The iOS App has been downloaded nearly 4 million times. The iOS app also recently added CBS Connect for iPad, a synced second-screen service, and Connect Live, which offers live video chats with CBS talent. Those will be extended to the Android app.
Daytime and late night programming is available within 24 hours after initial airing.
