Google Showcases Ludacris In Digital OOH Campaign

Google unveiled its first 3D anamorphic billboard in New York’s Times Square featuring an avatar of musical artist Ludacris. The ad  celebrates the hands-free possibilities unlocked by the Google Assistant on the foldable SamsungZ Flip 4.

The digital out-of-home activation is part of the company’s ongoing "The Future is Unfolding" campaign with Samsung.

The agency is Essence agency, working in partnership with Universal Music Group and Tokyo-based design studio Cekai.

The billboard depicts features an avatar of actor-rapper Ludacris demonstrating how to take a hands-free selfie. He says: “Hey Google, Take a Selfie.” The visual is Ludacris’ face from the “Stand Up” music video.

“I’m honored to partner with Google and Samsung and proud they’ve selected "Stand Up" as the campaign’s featured song, especially since 2023 marks 20 years since its release," said Ludacris.

Samsung  launched a social-media campaign highlighting its new foldable smartphone devices, Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4, in September, part of its "Reveal" work.
