Above+Beyond Taps Walker As Chief Strategy Officer, Promotes In-House Execs

Above+Beyond has announced its new leadership team, as well as the senior hire of Dena Walker as its new Chief Strategy Officer. Walker, currently global strategy director at BBDO New York, will assume her role later this summer.

Walker will lead strategy across both existing clients and new business. She previously held positions at BBDO Dublin and DentsuX in Singapore.

In addition, the agency has upped several staffers: Laura Graham to the role of Chief Production Officer and Jonny Ray to managing director.

The duo will work with Chief Creative Officer Dominic Goldman and Zaid Al-Zaidy, Above+Beyond Group CEO.

A two-year staffer, Graham launched The Beyond Collective's integrated production and design studio, Collective Studios. She was actively involved in several new client wins, including Netflix, Olivia Burton and Hardy’s.  

Since 2018, Ray has headed Above+Beyond’s account management team. Now, he will be responsible for the agency’s day-to-day leadership and its clients, such as Amazon, Alzheimer’s Research UK, BoyleSports, Premier Foods and Akzo Nobel.

Al-Zaidy said the new leadership team, comprised "the promotion of some of the agency’s most outstanding talent, alongside welcoming Dena Walker, whose strong strategic prowess will be an enviable asset."
