L'Oreal Adds Kendall Jenner As Ambassador

Kendall Jenner is the latest celebrity to join the L'Oréal Paris team of global ambassadors. In a deal some are reporting to be $14 million, the reality TV star will begin appearing in ads for the beauty giant, leveraging her massive social media audience of 350 million followers.

The 27-year-old began modeling at 13 and building a fanbase through her years of appearing in "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" and "The Kardashians."

"Nobody defines Kendall Jenner but Kendall Jenner," says Delphine Viguier, the company's global brand president, in the announcement. "She is the embodiment of everything Gen Z stands for, owning her image, proudly growing in her self-worth, and inspiring others to do the same."

Other L'Oréal ambassadors include such actors as Viola Davis, Andie MacDowell, Elle Fanning, Jane Fonda and Jennifer Anniston.

Kendall is shown walking through a crowd to offer a cop a can of soda in a spot quickly panned for making light of "Black Lives Matter" protests.

Pepsi soon withdrew the spot, apologizing for putting Jenner in such an awkward position.

L'Oréal is scheduled to release its next quarterly earnings report later this month. In first-quarter results released in April, it reported a 13% increase in sales, outperforming competitors
