Stagwell To Help Commercialize RealClearPolitics During '24 Election Cycle

Stagwell said today it will partner with RealClearPolitics, a political news site and polling data aggregator during the upcoming presidential election cycle, providing the site with new advertising opportunities created by agencies Code and Theory (B2B), Gale (media) and Multiview (programmatic).

The agencies will create a variety of custom sponsorship and programmatic advertising units as well as new email content opportunities for advertisers.

Those opportunities, said Stagwell are designed to make RCP site more “dynamic and accessible,” and provide advertisers with “new ways to reach and connect with RCP’s millions of readers.”

By most accounts RCP’s content is considered right-leaning, while its polling data is considered non-partisan and highly accurate. It was formed in 2000 by Tom Bevan, a former ad account executive with Leo Burnett and Crispin Porter & Bogusky, and former options trader John McIntyre.

“The presidential election is the ‘Super Bowl’ of the polling and news worlds, and RCP reaches a can’t-miss audience of tens of millions of poll-followers from all sides the political spectrum,” stated Stagwell CEO Mark Penn.

The partnership, he added will make RCP “a place where marketers can reach its highly engaged audience and sponsor the prestigious RCP Polling Average, recognized worldwide.”

Added Bevan: “We’re excited to tap into the wealth of expertise at Code and Theory, Gale, and Multiview to get our insights into the hands of voters, election enthusiasts and decision-makers, and to help advertisers tap into our highly influential readership.”
