    London Fashion Week designer shows will be shown on outdoor screens for the first time this year. Exclusive footage from the shows of designers will be screened across 60 out-of-home sites on Ocean Outdoor and signature digital screens. Content will include live streams from six catwalk shows, sponsored by Maybelline New York, the beauty sponsor for London Fashion Week. This element of the campaign is created by McCann Erickson and Kinetic, with media planning and buying by Maxus.

Using the words "Gold, not old," the cosmetics and beauty company is aiming to highlight the fact that older women possess wisdom and experience that should be valued and cherished.

    A new monograph released by the Adam Smith Institute has predicted that Britons will live like millionaires and drive around in autonomous cars by 2050. The study looks at trends in scientific research to make predictions about how new technology will shape the lives of Britons and solve the energy, environmental and health problems of today. The optimistic vision predicts that in 2050 people in the UK will live similar to today's millionaires, earning twice as much in real terms as they do today.

    In an investors call, Twitter's chief executive Jack Dorsey said its live advertising capabilities were now crucial to its future growth and that it is focused on opening up Periscope to brands. His comments mark a step change for Twitter, which last year said that despite Periscope signing up over 10 million users it had no plans to monetise the service for advertisers anytime soon. "We really want to focus on live, because we think it's the fastest and easiest way to understand the power of Twitter and get into it," said Dorsey.

  • Levy Unfazed By UK Revenue Drop But Concerned By Brexit
    Publicis Groupe's chief executive, Maurice Levy, has said the group's performance in the UK in 2015 was "better than expected" despite the 4.4% drop in revenues. In the results, Publicis Groupe attributed the decline in the UK to the restructure of Razorfish and the management change at Publicis Worldwide's UK office. Levy said the drop in the UK had already been forecast. He has concerns about a potential Brexit (the UK leaving the European Union) and believes it would hurt the UK more than Europe.

    The average circulation of magazine circulation was down 4% year-on-year in the last six months of 2015. The latest ABC audit for July-December 2015 saw mixed results for men's lifestyle publications. "Men's Fitness" magazine was the worst hit with combined sales of print and digital down 18% over the period and 32.3% over the year, marking the greatest decline in sales across the market by far. "Men's Health" managed to improve toward the end of the year with a 0.4% increase.

    MPs have suggested that Google's tax avoidance row is harming the morale of its 4,000 UK employees and that will undermine staff retention. Google EMEA president Matt Brittin faced repeated criticism from MPs on the Commons Public Accounts Committee when quizzed yesterday, alongside Google Vice President of Finance Tom Hutchinson, about the Internet giant's GBP130 million settlement in UK back taxes over ten years. "This is staining your reputation," Richard Bacon, a Conservative MP, told Brittin.
