• London Bus Giveaway Sees Metro Leap To Second Place In Circulation Table
    "Metro," the newspaper given away in British cities on weekdays, has climbed to second place in the circulation league by overtaking its stablemate, the "Daily Mail." ABC figures show "Metro" achieved a Monday-to-Friday average of 1,480,187 copies in October, some 171,000 greater than the "Mail" and about 88,000 below the top-selling "Sun."

    Just Eat has delivered its first takeaway with a delivery robot to a customer in Greenwich, launching a pilot project that will involve transporting food in the city using autonomous vehicles.     Paul Dacre, the editor in chief of the "Daily Mail," is to stand down as chair of a committee that governs journalists' code of conduct before a government review of press regulation. His departure after eight "turbulent" years comes after a review of the press regulator Ipso recommended that no member of the highly influential committee should serve more than two three-year terms.
  • TalkTalk Hit By Another Cyber Attack
    Thousands of TalkTalk and Post Office customers have had their Internet access cut by an attack targeting certain types of Internet routers. A spokeswoman for the Post Office told the BBC that the problem began on Sunday and had affected about 100,000 of its customers. TalkTalk also confirmed that some of its customers had been affected, and it was working on a fix.

    Politics dominated Web searches in 2016 on Yahoo, with "Brexit" and "Donald Trump" among the most common search terms, the technology firm has revealed. Sport was also on the minds of the UK public as the Rio Olympics and Euro 2016 both also made the top five most-searched terms, behind Brexit in second and third place respectively, with new President-elect Trump in fourth.
  • Mail Online Sees Revenue Boost, But Group Profits Are Down
    Mail Online growth helped boost overall revenue for the Mail titles by GBP5m last year to GBP577m. But Mail Online, the "Daily Mail" and "Mail Sunday" saw an overall fall in operating profit of GBP10m to GBP69m for the year to the end of September. Full-year results for DMG Media, show revenue for Mail Online rose by 28% to GBP93m, up from GBP73m on the year before.

    The IPA has appointed Sarah Golding, chief executive and partner at CHI & Partners, as its next president, replacing Tom Knox. Golding's appointment will be ratified at the IPA's AGM on 23 March 2017. She will outline the manifesto for her two-year term at the IPA's member's lunch in May.

And the problem is getting worse.
