    Spotify is launching two new programs that will bring original musical recordings to listeners around the world: Singles and Live. “The Singles program sees big name acts and exciting and up-and-comers recording a pair of songs for the service and releasing them only on the world’s most popular streaming music platform,” Forbes reports. “The first will be a track of their own, and it will typically be a newer cut that the artist is busy promoting, while the second will be a cover of a popular song from any time in history.”
  • iHeartRadio Adds On-Demand Music Service
    Offering paying users unlimited streaming access to full albums and millions of songs, iHeartRadio just launched its on-demand music service in beta. “The on-demand service is powered by Napster, the music service that until recently was known as Rhapsody in the United States,” Variety reports. “iHeartRadio’s on-demand service, dubbed iHeartRadio All Access, is available on Android and iOS devices for a monthly fee of $9.99.”
