Dentsu Acquires WIS, Integrates Into iProspect

Dentsu Aegis Network has acquired Taiwan-based digital marketing agency WIS Performance Media as the agency looks to build out its performance-marketing services.

The agency mostly supports search marketing resellers and small to medium-sized enterprises, which makes up approximately 60% of the country's search engine marketing (SEM) market.

WIS provides digital marketing services to 1,500 clients across several industries with help from about 100 employees.

The Taipei-based agency, founded in 2005 by Simon Wu, will become part of iProspect, a global performance-marketing agency and one of the Dentsu Group's nine global network brands. It will rebrand to WIS iProspect, according to the agency. 

The acquisition will double iProspect's scale in the market and further strengthen the network's foothold as one of the largest international media, digital and creative communications group in Taiwan. 

Dentsu said WIS generates about TWD 112 million in revenue for the year ending December 2015.
