Kodak Moments Frames Personal Stories, Promotes Old-School Style

Kodak is a name familiar to any baby boomer who owned a camera.

While digital camera competition and technology altered the company’s fate, it continues to provide commercial digital printing products and services, motion-picture film and still film. The latter is distributed via its new owner, Kodak Alaris.

But the company that George Eastman built still cares about the power of imagery.

Kodak Moments has released a new campaign — “Let Your Home Tell Your Story” — targeting Gen Z and millennials to promote its line of frames, canvases and decor offerings.

The spots such as "Dad/Daughter" and "Anthem," relate the importance of capturing moments and telling stories.

The campaign, from San Francisco-based Agency SOS, runs across connected TV, social and digital platforms. The agency also handled production and media planning.

“Kodak Moments has always encouraged capturing and saving milestone memories, but we see our offering as much more dynamic. Some moments are too good to leave on your phone. When you display them in your home, they spark conversations and make your rooms come alive,” Jennifer Fox chief marketing officer at Kodak Moments, told Agency Daily.

“There's nothing like an old-school framed photo in your home," added John Kovacevich, creative director at Agency SOS. "We're all so over-saturated with tech, a physical thing that you can touch has power. A captured moment like that breathes life into a room and sparks stories in a unique and meaningful way.”

Kovacevich, an ad veteran from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and FCB, opened Agency SOS in 2021 with a simple idea: it doesn’t take a huge team to do great work.

Agency SOS’ work roster includes Ooma, Good Fur and Anchor Brewing.
