• PewDiePie Takes Aim At Nintendo Revenue Plan
    PewDiePie, the biggest draw on YouTube and go-to guy for online gamers is criticizing Nintendo's new creators' program in which it shares some of the revenues from gamers who featured Nintendo games. He thinks it's still a bad deal. He wrote on a blog that Nintendo titles “just went to the bottom” of the long list of games creators will prefer to play.
  • FCC Chief Proposes What He Calls "Strongest" Net Neutrality Rules
    Tom Wheeler just said he's proposing the "strongest open Internet protections" the Web has ever seen. It would cover not only cable companies but wireless companies like Sprint and T-Mobile.  The rules would make speeding up or slowing down Web traffic — a tactic known as prioritization — illegal. It would also ban the blocking of Web traffic.

    Netflix will issue debt to finance a $1 billion investment in programming. The official announcement confirms plans outlined by Reed Hastings in an earning phone call recently.
  • Univision Will Be Part of Dish's Sling TV Lineup
    The terms of the agreement include Univision’s flagship Univision Network, UniMás, UDN (Univision Deportes Network), Galavisión, El Rey Network, Bandamax, De Película, De Película Clásico, Telehit, tlnovelas, FOROtv as well as Univision and UniMás broadcast stations nationwide, the companies said Monday. The start of Sling TV, Dish's OTT offering, is said to be "imminent."
