• KlowdTV Is A New Digital Site For Conservative Views
    Charles Herring, president of San Diego-based Herring Networks Inc., owner of One America News Network, bought KlowdTV and is  relaunching it under the same name as a one-stop shop for viewers who want to cut their cable bills and have an alternative to Fox News. It’s a skinny bundle entrant offering a dozen channels ranging from Glenn Beck's TheBlaze and Newsmax, a hunting a fishing channel called Pursuit and GolTv, a soccer channel. It will cost $8 a month.

    Apple is slowly rolling out new, personalized music playlists to Apple Music subscribers, TechCrunch reports. “Apple Music’s new playlists are a direct challenge to Spotify, whose ‘Discover Weekly’ playlist is so popular it saw 40 million users in its first year,” it writes.
  • Steve Jobs Was Secretly Working On An Apple TV
    Walt Mossberg, Recode’s editor at large and an executive editor at The Verge, says Jobs called him on the night he announced he was formally handing over control of his company to Tim Cook, and told him about his TV ambitions. Previously, Jobs had said Apple's efforts in TV was just a "hobby," but Jobs told Mossberg after he left Apple that the company and/or Jobs had been working on a TV and it would be "fantastic." He died less than two months later and nothing came of it.

  • Netflix Slots Debut For Sitcom Based on 'Miranda Sings'
    Netflix says its comedy series, "Haters Back Off" will debut Oct. 14. It's the sitcom-ized story of Miranda Sings, the no-talent singer created by Colleen Ballinger that became sometihing of a hit. There are eight episodes.
