UK marketing consultant ID Comms is conducting a survey examining talent issues at media agencies and advertisers—specifically focusing on whether they have the talent they need to deliver strong marketing performance.
The deadline for responders to the survey, being conducted via surveymonkey.com is June 3, with results due to be released the week before the start of the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, which begins June 18.
Questions include, “To what extent do you agree or disagree that advertisers' existing media talent (internal and external) meets their current media needs?”
Another example: “In which of the following areas of media talent would you anticipate additional capability to be required by advertisers over the next 2-3 years, and would you expect that capability to be developed internally or externally?”
Responders are provided with a list of areas such as e-commerce, mobile. insights, content, media planning among others and options about where additional capability might come from.
The survey comes amid industry concerns and debate about Adland’s talent pool and its ability to attract top talent when other industries including ad tech and financial services are offering higher salaries and better benefits in their recruitment efforts.
