Amazon Disabling All Dash Buttons At End Of Month

Following up on its notice earlier this year, Amazon is ending all its support for its one-touch, Amazon Dash buttons.

The little plastic buttons had been tapped by consumers to be sent laundry detergent, paper towels, printer paper and a range of household goods from Amazon.

“Amazon is constantly evaluating our product and service offerings to best serve customers,” an Amazon spokesperson told AI & IoT Daily. “Starting August 31, customers will no longer be able to place orders through Dash Button devices globally.”

Virtual Dash Buttons have been created essentially to replicate the physical buttons and consumers will still be able to order products via virtual Dash Button, mobile app and Amazon website.

Sales of Dash Buttons ended earlier this year.
