    Britons are the biggest online spenders in the world, according to the UK Cards Association. Sky News reveals that UK household Internet spending was $5,900 last year -- higher than Norway at $5,400 and Australia at $4,000. A quarter of all UK card transactions are carried out online.

    Digital video has been named the UK's "rising star" by eMarketer. In its first digital video viewing forecast, the service estimates the average UK adult will spend 53 minutes per day watching digital video -- double the attention earned by the medium just five years ago. By 2019, 10% of our media time and 20% of our digital media time will be spent watching digital videos.
