National CineMedia Names Chief Digital Officer, May Unveil New Channels At Upfront

Cinema advertising network National CineMedia is looking to expand its reach of American moviegoers outside the theater, and has named a digital media veteran to develop new channels.

Lawrence Snapp -- who joined NCM in September as senior vice president-corporate development -- has picked up the role of chief digital officer, responsible for developing new ways for brands to connect with movie audiences inside and outside the theater.

Snapp, who is based in Silicon Valley, joined from Microsoft, where he was principal strategist-worldwide direct business sales & business innovation team.

Snapp reports to NCM President Cliff Marks.

The company is expected to announce new digital channel initiatives at its upfront event in New York City on May 17th.
