A chat bot that helped overturn 160,000 parking tickets is now giving free legal aid to asylum-seeking refugees through Facebook. DoNotPay was created by London-born Stanford University student Joshua Browder. The 20-year-old, who has made Forbes' 30 Under 30 list of the brightest young entrepreneurs, designed his first bot to help people fight parking fines.

Campaigners have accused the French fashion house Saint Laurent of featuring models in degrading poses for a publicity campaign they say should be banned. The poster campaign in Paris consists of one image showing a reclining woman in a fur coat and fishnet tights opening her legs, and another of a model in a leotard and roller-skate stilettos bending over a stool.

Apple could be forced to pay millions of pounds in extra taxes in the UK after losing a legal battle over whether its smartwatch straps are an accessory that should be taxed individually or part of the device. Ending a months-long legal battle, a tax tribunal in London has ruled that the straps are "pieces of plastic" and an "accessory," not part of the technology.

John Lewis is spending GBP4m on iPhones for 8,000 shop floor employees across 20 of its stores in a bid to strengthen its cross-channel consumer experience. The staff members will each receive a phone loaded with a "Partner app," which the retailer said would improve their ability to quickly provide information about products and stock availability, as well as place orders.

Despite a strong debut for Snap when launching its IPO last Thursday, yesterday's fall appears to have come about after analysts raised concerns about Snapchat's user growth and valuation. Yesterday it fell 12% as analysts issued "sell" ratings. Snap's first day of trading surged 44% above its initial IPO price of $17 a share on 2 March and jumped another 11% on the following day.

Publishers must do more to prove their worth to advertisers and show they are worthy of the "digital pound", says News UK's CMO for "The Times" and "Sunday Times." When asked whether brands such as Facebook and Google are doing enough to battle these issues, Newman says that "everyone can do better," but that more marketers should hold Facebook and Google to account.

The culture secretary has said that she is "minded" to refer Rupert Murdoch's GBP11.7bn takeover bid for Sky to Ofcom to investigate issues of media plurality and whether Fox will maintain broadcasting standards at the pay-TV company. Karen Bradley has 10 working days from Monday to make a final decision on referring the deal to the media regulator.

PSA, the French owner of Peugeot and Citroen, has agreed to buy Vauxhall and Opel from General Motors in a deal worth EUR2.2 billion. There has been speculation about the deal and its impact on about 4,000 jobs at the Vauxhall plants at Ellesmere Port and Luton since it emerged last month that the carmakers were in talks.

BT has retained the exclusive rights to show European football in the UK after holding off competition from Sky by securing a deal worth GBP1.18bn -- nearly GBP300m more than it paid for the rights in 2013. This means BT will show Champions League and Europa League football for a further three seasons, at a cost of GBP394m each season, until the summer of 2021.

Digital video viewing is one of the most common digital activities in the UK. eMarketer estimates 43.2 million people in the country will watch digital video content via any device at least once per month in 2017. This year, an estimated 65.1% of the UK population will be digital video viewers, compared with 64.3%.
